I'm trying to watch the Stargate Continuum bluray on my computer. CoreAVC is producing all kinds of errors in certain areas.

The libavcodec and CyberLink codecs work fine.

Here is a 15 second sample.

Hopefully this will help the developers solve the problem.

CoreAVC is fine... That clip was created using non-compliant (AVC specification) 16bit Motion Vectors.

Ah yes, clearly not your problem. Forget the fact that there are apparently other decoders and professional AVC encoders using them. I guess I'll just have to go back to free alternatives like libavcodec. Thanks much.

I would steer away from ANY encoder that encodes in a non-compliant manner. This will only led to issues for playback down the road, especially since we already know other vendors are now limiting large MV because we pointed the issue out to them.
