We proud to release CorePlayer Platform v1.3.2 "Speed Edition". Why Speed? Well you will find that even though this is mostly a bug fix and stability release for all platforms that it also includes a slew of optimizations including some pretty impressive CoreUI changes that makes the UI faster for all our supported platforms.

While we were at it we also added:
- Added the means to use connections in a more fluid manner for GPRS/Wireless... what this means is you won't get the dreaded 'No Items Found!" error message in YouTube even though you are connected
- Proxy Login/Password support
- Added more languages (24 now)
- Added LATM AAC Container support

Also... just doing some QA and Benchmarks and for you lucky OS X users.... here is a comparison of CorePlayer 1.3.2 Vs. DivX 7 on a last gen 15" macbook playing a 720p H.264 trailer from DivX.com.

A 20 second sampling window (from hitting start)

System Calls:
- CorePlayer 3.1% or 614.6ms
- DivX 13.8% or 2.8s

Interrupts:
- CorePlayer: 1.3% or 267.5ms
- DivX: 6.2% or 1.2s

ie; CorePlayer is 4x faster then DivX 7 ;-)

When will be support to Theora???

Theora is stable since November 2008 (as of 1.0 version). And the format is frozen long ago so there is no "wait until stable" claim.

I buy a license with the only intention that I can play Ogg Theora in the near future... and I´m already happy that I can play Ogg Vorbis.

Please, don´t forget this format.

The developers have to pay a fee if they want to support it in thier commerical software.
