Ready for your download pleasure.... the Entire Coreplayer Platform v1.2.4

This new release goes along way towards what ppl have asked for, so let me address that here rather then try and go through whats hidden within the readme.

- We now support the Adobe Flash Multimedia Container (FLV, F4V)
- All Symbian versions now feature our YouTube Browser
- CorePlayer on Symbian is much 'happier' now on the platform (and will be even more so with each release)
- We have added support for site specific functions like "Revision3' (which we love) via RSS... so pick your feed and enjoy

FLASH SUPPORT INFO
First.... Thank you Adobe!! Your customers and our community appreciate the fact that you looked at what was best for them and opened up the SWF and FLV specs. This goes a long way at spreading the Flash love and opening the adoption for others such as we have here at CoreCodec with CorePlayer.

LIMITATIONS
- At this time we will only support the Flash Container (FLV)
- Don't look for CorePlayer to play the files 'within' a webpage (it will however play linked FLV content and open CorePlayer). Embbedded support will come by early next year with v2.0 of CorePlayerX/CorePlayer API integration.
- We will not support ON2's VP6 as an embedded video codec anytime soon if at all. If the demand warrants it we will look into the possibilities but till then...

SWF
This is where we are taking a stand back approach. We will likely include SWF support at some point... but are looking at the options of either using the upcoming Adobe Runtime and or.... creating our own from scratch via the newly released SWF specs.

YOUTUBE
We have now added a new FLV (Medium) quality setting to the integrated YouTube browser. This adds another layer of choice for you to play with a see what works best for your YT video playback needs in CP.

We are pretty excited.... and I'll post more info later but its NOT Flash (SWF).... we are however releasing support for FLV (The Flash Container) within all CorePlayer Platform Products as of today 5/8/2008.

So where can I download this new release from??? I bought myself a copy today just because you released this new version - but the download at Mobihand.com is still version 1.2.0! Very disappointing.

Please be patient. Sooner or later, it'll be released. I'm absolutely sure they do deliver what they have promised.

It was my impression that this was the release notice? That is why I immediately ducked over to the shopping cart and bought a copy.

I never play videos - all I play are podcasts (all day long), and for that Coreplayer is not much better than the inbuilt music player. Worse even, as the inbuilt music player (in the P1i) supports A2DP perfectly.

I'm already using it on my 755p (Sprint).

And I can confirm that the Revision3 RSS feeds work now.

At least the one for Tekzilla (I use the small QuickTime format) that is.

It was working fine with version 1.2.3 but after updating to version 1.2.4 I can no longer search or view my favorite YouTube videos. Its the same for both Mobile and Pro versions.

It might be a 'config.xml' conflict issue.... try a complete uninstall and reinstall. We'll see if we get any more reports on this but I just test Palm, CE, WM, OS X, Windows and YT search is working for all of them.

Yeah a full uninstall and reinstall seems to have fixed that issue. Thanks for a great product and keep up the good work.

While i wait for 1.2.4,
I was wondering why some youtube videos take up 100% of my processing power (causing extremely low frame rate), and others dont?

I.E. watching a video with high quality over wifi sometimes takes 100% of processing power, whereas watching another video with high quality over wifi only takes 40%. I have similar issues with medium quality, but they are less frequent but choppy nonetheless

I have a htc tytn II, and was using batterystatus taskbar plugin to monitor the processor usage.
